This site was not designed by Caspian, we did the programming and implementation of the Content Management System (CMS).

The site is built on an open source CMS, which will allow the client to maintain the content herself, features a newsletter signup through iContact, slideshow banners on the homepage, their entire product line (with details), a couple of contact forms and an event photo gallery.

This project is a good example of what can be done customizing an open source CMS.

Websites built on Content Management Systems have many advantages, including the ability to be maintained by the client, very search engine friendly, and the ability to extend the functionality of the website easily by using modules developed by 3rd parties for this specific CMS platform.

If you are looking at taking your business website to another level, contact us for our CMS solutions.

Good News! We can help your website be found on Google!

Since last year we have been working with different levels and methods of providing the vital service of search engine optimization (SEO) to our clients. After all, what good is a beautiful and informative site without any visitors.

Usually, the biggest hurdle for website owners to overcome is getting good value in search engine optimization. Either the service provider charges exorbitant fees on a monthly basis or they charge so little (and do so little) that you don’t get visible results.

After considerable research, trial and error and personal experience with the various aspects of this vital service we can now provide you with good and consistent results at affordable rates, to fit all budgets.

We understand that most clients are on a budget, that is why our efforts are results oriented and we don't hold you in a long term contract, our service is month-to-month. We are focusing on the best value for you, our client.

SEO consists of many different functions, there is no magic to this, no switch to flip. It's manual, detailed work that gets results over a period of time, depending on the industry.

Caspian Services is able to offer all the services in house, from designing to developing to maintaining and marekting. We look forward to providing our valued clients with additional visitors that enable them to vastly increase their website return on investment.

We invite you to try our new SEO service. In the month of April 2011, we are offering $100 OFF your 1st months SEO service, regardless of project size.

New website launched for client - www.LemonPeel.tv

February 28th, 2011

We just launched a new website for Lemon Peel Productions.

Lemon Peel is a production house with a unique visual storytelling style, a blend of dialogue mixed with visual effects, unusual sound design and compelling cinematic images.

With their site, we tried to keep it simple and have the videos be the focus of the site, and at the same time make the viewing of the videos easy to use for the visitor and visually appealing at the same time.

The site is coded in xHTML/CSS, and uses a flash player with built-in playlist to display their work. All the videos have been converted to streaming flash video (for maximum support) and are being served from our data center located in Los Angeles.

Take a look at their new site and let us know what you think:  http://www.lemonpeel.tv/

TIPs from your Web Designer about Search Engine Optimization.

February 28th, 2011

SEO opens the door to moneymaking on the web.

Designing the site:
Each search engine has its own algorithm in ranking web pages. Understanding the general factors that influence the algorithm can affect your search result position, and this is what SEO experts are hired for. An SEO’s job has two aspects: On-Site and Off-Site.

On-Site SEO: are the things that you can do on your site, such as: HTML markups, target keywords, internal linking, site structure, etc. Any web designer that doesn’t take on-site SEO into consideration while designing your site is closing the door on potential clients before you’ve even gotten started.

A stunningly beautiful woman locked in a closet is about as appreciated as a gorgeous website that has no visitors. What a waste that would be. You owe it to yourself to invest in SEO to “get out there” so you can get a return on your investment.

Off-Site SEO: are the things that you have much less control of, such as: how many backlinks you get and how people link to your site. Google Adwords are a key, too.

Getting Visitors to The Site:

Write about topics your audience cares about. Like what? Find out, by conducting a poll (like I did), scan some relevant bulletin boards or forums, look for common topics in customer emails, or do some keyword research. The plan is not to spend your life doing keyword research but just to get a general idea of what your visitors are interested in.

Don’t Be Dense About Keywords: Once you have a topic for readers; help search engines find it. Keyword Density is the number of times a keyword appears in a page compared to the total number of words. You want to make sure your keywords are included in the crucial areas.

Website Redesigned for Non-Profit - www.CASPS.org

January 31st, 2011
We just launched a redesign for a non-profit, The Committee for Armenian Students in Public Schools (CASPS).

CASPS was created in the summer of 1994 by a group of concerned educators and citizen leaders.  Their primary purpose was to lay the foundation of a grass roots organization that would address the social and educational needs of immigrant children in public schools.

The redesign focused on a few things:
  • Deliver a package to enable client to maintain the site - we used our content management system (CMS) to allow the client to maintain the content on the site, including text, images, video, etc.
  • Have an appealing design to enable to use the site for marketing/PR purposes
  • Enable the client to use the new site for fundraising - we enabled PayPal donations on the site
  • Highlight past students
The website also has a newsletter signup box (using iContact), a blog, archives of their printed newsletter, videos of past events, links and testimonials.

Take a look at their new website and let us know what you think:  http://www.casps.org/
